8e Congrès Solvay Schools Alumni – “Business and Policy for a Climate Neutral World”
Given the new measures announced by the CODECO on November 17, we have unfortunately decided to postpone the Congress, which was supposed to take place on November 30. Postponing is not an easy decision, but we believe that it is the more reasonable one, as we hope to be able to organize this networking event more smoothly this Spring.
Good news is that we have already found a new date : May 24, 2022, with the same speakers and same organization.
Despite a year of delay, Solvay Schools Alumni is respecting the tradition and organizing their 8th Congress on the topic “Business and Policy for a Climate Neutral World”, at Brussels Airport (Skyhall).
Indeed, in a report that caused a stir, the IPCC recommended reducing global greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. Since then, cities, countries, companies have followed suit and made commitments to become carbon neutral in 2050. With the European Green Deal, Europe today aims to be the first climate neutral continent. The changes required to make this happen are enormous. So are the opportunities.
